Acid washed activated carbon undergoes a rigorous HCl acid washing process followed by thorough deionized water rinsing. This treatment removes mineral ash, soluble metals (especially iron), and adjusts the pH to a neutral 6-8 range, making it suitable for applications where purity is critical.
Available in both coconut shell and coal-based varieties. Coconut shell acid-washed carbon achieves ash content as low as 0.5%, making it the premium choice for pharmaceutical, food-grade, and electronics applications.
